District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Ashraf Bhatti has awarded 25 years Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) and Rs 30,000 fine to a murder convict in a thana Khudian case.

Prosecution sources said Wednesday the convict Zaffar had shot and killed his sister's husband Muhammad Munir after a domestic quarrel a year ago.

Meanwhile, additional sessions judge Rao Abdul Jabbar acquitted PML-N ticket holder Yaqub and nine co-accused in a murder case of Mustafa Abad area. They had been charged with killing their rival Razauddin.
